Ballerina

Lotus has been taking ballet classes this summer and loving it. Unfortunately, they are only once a week. This Saturday, she and her classmates will perform for their family and friends. To complete her outfits, I knitted two 'snoods' for her hair since ballerinas need to have their hair up for dancing. My hope is to make one for each girl in the class. Wish me luck!

Thinking of Grandparents

Yet another birthday has passed and I find I think of my Grandmas and Poppies often. I am so behind in sending out pictures and you will really wonder why these...well one of my memories from childhood was that my Grandma Jenks would NEVER drink from a can and if she did she would use a straw.

This is one of my favorite treats to myself and as you can see the top is sealed, keeping out dirt and germs. I wonder....would she have enjoyed drinking out of one of these cans.
