MAJOR SHIFT

Sorry no pictures. There has been a major shift happening this week. Tuesday night Aila waved bye-bye/goodnight to Elijah and Lotus. Today, Wednesday, she said Mama for the first time. Amazing what a child this age will do to get herself out of her exersaucer. And while changing her she pulled her foot to her mouth for the first time and giggled when her toe touched her mouth. She must think she is so cool....we do.

August is almost over

The kids are in school and summer is almost done. Here are a few more pics of August.

Aila's first up close pet contact and was she ever tickled. We have three baby bunnies looking for homes...anyone?

One more....tonight Aila THREW KISSES to Lotus and Elijah. I wish I could have recorded the moment...all three were full of giggles.

I'm 6 Months Old

As you all know time does fly. We can't believe six months have passed since our little Aila came into our lives. Not a day goes by where one of us joyfully says 'I can't believe we have this little baby'!

Has anyone seen the TOOTH FAIRY?

It finally happened, yesterday Lotus pulled her tooth. When it was time for bed she was so excited you would have thought it was Christmas.

I think I remember leaving one or two in for this long.

Lotus was so proud to tell everyone that her mom made her a tooth pouch.

Please note that Lotus does NOT have pierced ears. These are only clip-ons her brother gave her.

More WATER

Thursday morning we were up and early off to Kona for dental appointments for Elijah and Lotus. We decided to make it a full two days and stayed the night. I found that if we take them somewhere fun prior to the start of school they think they had a great summer. Good trick to remember for those of you with little ones.

Aila's First Swim

We have been waiting for an opportunity to visit our friends John and Nancy (Tutu) at their lovely home in Kapoho for Aila's big swim and what a great day!

Kai (Nancy's grandson), Elijah, Aila and Lotus with snorkel. There were lots of fish to see.

LONG DAY!

I'll have some video later to add. She loved it so much and spent most of her time kicking. I wish I had taken a picture of her feet and how shriveled they looked.

Knitting

Always looking for another cute knitting pattern and the time to do it. This one was a butterfly ring that we are certain to use in the future. They would make great gifts for birthday parties or on gifts.

Lotus usually does a good job of painting her nails but in this case she was hiding what she was doing.
