Elijah's Birthday

It is so hard to believe that it has been nine years ago. We celebrated at home on his day with his favorites of salmon and apple pie. As usual, his teacher decorated his desk, presented him with a book and the class sang some lovely songs which I meant to record. I was so enjoying the moment I forgot - mommy brain.

At lunch we brought pop cycles for Elijah to share with his class on his birthday.

Breakfast of a champion!

His favorite...mom's apple pie!

Aila was no longer in the celebratory mood.

Weekend with friends. Classmates stayed overnight.

Since Elijah does not care for cake, he requested brownies....how could I argue.

I wasn't able to take pictures the day before when all the kids were sliding. These are shots of the following morning with some of the kids still waiting for pick-up.

We had never heard so much chit chattering during the movie with this bunch of boys.

After breakfast the following morning, the kids were excited to bust open the pinata. CANDY!!!

The kids chose to punch it rather than use a stick.

What a way to top off breakfast...I put their treats in baggies with their names on them. Easier way to do it.

  1. I, too, cannot believe it has been 9 years since Elijah blessed us with his presence. Love the pictures!
