I forgot some important info....the kids used the lichen to create this golden dye bath for their silk scarves. It was quite a beautiful site with so many golden scarves hanging around the school grounds to dry.

Mother's Day
Little did I know that when the kids came home asking to collect a certain type of lichen that I was soon to be gifted these beautifully hand-dyed scarves for Mother's Day. Love it!
